Gloria Dei invites believers of all ages to receive the sacrament of Holy Baptism. As a congregation, we believe that in the waters of Baptism we are reborn children of God and inheritors of eternal life. By water and the Holy Spirit we are made members of the Church which is the body of Christ. As we live with him and his people, we grow in faith, love and obedience to the will of God. We baptize in obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ, in Matthew, chapter 28, to make disciples of all nations.  Children who are presented by their parents or sponsors to be baptized are asked to commit that they will faithfully bring the child to the services of God's house, teach them the Lord's Prayer, the Apostles' Creed and the Ten Commandments. As they grow in years, the parents or sponsors should assure that the child receives the Holy Scriptures and is instructed in the Christian faith.
If a baptism is desired at Gloria Dei, the parent, sponsor or individual must contact the Pastor or church office staff to make an appointment. It is necessary to discuss details of date and time - baptisms during regularly scheduled worship times are preferred.

Designed by the famed architect, Benny Gonzales, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church is known for its simplicity and Southwestern charm. The white stone walls, purple carpeting comfortable padded pews, lovely stained glass windows, and large wooden cross that hangs behind the altar, contribute to make the scene simple but dramatic.
The beautiful landscaped grounds are perfect for your outdoor pictures too! Your guests are greeted with plenty of convenient parking as they arrive for your special day.  Pastor Brent Maxwell, our young and caring minister, will counsel you several times before your wedding.
Our gifted organist, Randy McGlade, who also plays piano, is there for both rehearsal and wedding. You will not believe Randy’s array of music ability and our new organ is the latest in sound reproduction sounding like an entire symphony! Our wedding coordinator meets with you as many times as necessary and is present for the rehearsal and wedding so assure a flawless ceremony.
